Lord Ganesh is also considered as the archetype of the “First Initiation” energy and this is the reason why we always start any work, task, venture or even our prayers by first praying and paying respect to Lord Ganesh.
Now, the bija word (i.e. the seed-sound) Shri has the energy of Ma Laxmi. Goddess Laxmi is the Vedic archetype of success, wealth and affluence.
In case, you are not very familiar with Lord Ganesh or Ma Laxmi, then do check out my videos on them. I have already made several videos that explain who they are and also the many blessings that we can obtain by praying to Lord Ganesh as well as to Ma Laxmi. I have provided several helpful links below…

Because of this, it is very customary to first pray to Lord Ganesh with this mantra, before starting any new task.
In fact, this is such an important mantra to chant before beginning any work… that the words “Shri Ganeshaya” are also used to indicate initiating any new action.
For e.g. let us say, starting Monday, you planned to start a new health regimen. Now, if you were speaking in any of the local Indian languages then you would say something like… starting Monday, I intend to ‘Shri Ganeshaya” my new health regimen.
This can be (as I said earlier) any new work, task, prayers or even as we start a new day. It is very helpful to start each day with this mantra, so we can clear out any possible challenging energies and by doing so… hopefully enjoy a smoother day ahead- where we are able to better accomplish our planned actions and goals.
Each morning, you can simply say Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah even once while conveying your love and respect to Lord Ganesh.
Also, whenever possible and particularly if you are planning to start any new venture, then you can chant this mantra for 108 times to ensure a smoother implementation of your plans and actions.
So, what I have done is create a simple recording of this mantra- where it is chanted 108 times with proper intonation and no music. This way, you can simply play that track and mentally (or even verbally) repeat the mantra with proper pronunciation and intonation.

There is no background music so not only it will not be distracting if you are to play it in the background, but also- if you want to chant along or meditate with this mantra then the music will not disturb your meditative flow.
I really hope that you will utilize this mantra recitation to not only better your own mantra chanting- intonation, i.e. proper pronunciation, but also hear it in the background or play it during the start and end of the day to infuse your surroundings with the very helpful and benevolent presence of Lord Ganesh.
The amazing energies of Lord Ganesh along with Ma Laxmi, will not only remove all the obstacles from your path but also ensure that you are off to a great start on the path to success and wellbeing.
