Categories: Shloka For The Week and The Bhagavad Gita

Message from this shloka is not only applicable for this week but for all time to come- this is the wisdom of The Bhagavad Gita.   The divine song as presented by Lord Krishna to Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, which represents the battle of life- as we all experience.
Here is message-quote from The Bhagavad Gita for this week. This message is from Chapter 18, Verse 78 which says:

“Wherever there will be both Krishna, the Lord of yoga, or Dharma in the form of the scriptures, and Arjuna with the weapons of duty and protection; there will be everlasting prosperity, victory, happiness, and morality. This is my conviction.”

- The Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18, Verse 78
This week’s message from The Bhagavad Gita reiterates the power of our faith and devotion.    Arjun is a seeker, but he is also a warrior. Most of us are in the same boat.

Even as we are trying to understand the mysteries of our life and try to figure out the reality from all the illusion around us, we still do have to deal with day-to-day activities like paying the bills and dealing with colleagues and coworkers!
In this message, which is the last shloka from The Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna assures Arjun that, if he is to continue doing what is right, then in that case Lord Krishna will continue to be with him and this in and of itself will ensure his victory, his success. The dharma for Arjun was to fight the Mahabharat war- something he felt very apprehensive about. But then Lord Krishna gave him supporting advice. This narrative became known as The Bhagavad Gita.

Throughout the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna explained Dharma to Arjun- explaining to how, the ways and means by which he can figure out what is right from wrong. He also showed Arjun (who was also his friend) his true Divine form. All of this helped to clear all doubts which Arjun felt.

It helped to clear all his apprehensions and finally- at the very end of his narration, Lord Krishna said this shloka- further giving assurance to Arjun- that the one who follows the path of ‘correct action’ will have the Divine by their side.

And once one has the power of the Divine, the Universal power, then success is bound to be attained.

Particularly if you have been following my work, then you probably took up some time these last couple of weeks to clearly figure out your goals, vision and mission for this new year. These last few days you probably utilized the powerful and favorable energies to set out some clear strategic plan of action.

Now- this message, this quote from The Bhagavad Gita is reminding us, it is assuring us- that till our goals, our ambitions are for beneficial and for the higher good (in accordance to our Dharma) and we continue to proceed on our chosen path with faith and devotion, then we can be assured that we will have divine support and presence in our life and work- when we perform action, that is in accordance to our dharma and we do it to the best of our ability, acquiring the required skills (as necessary), honing and bettering our self (as needed)… and with the divine by our side, we are bound to be successful in all our ventures.

What a wonderful message to get for this week ahead. I hope you take help and heart from this quote… and have a fantastic week ahead… I wish you the very best…

Vedic Culture, which   is the culture of the original Himalayan Masters,    is one of the most advanced ancient civilizations.  It is a tradition which has given mankind several treasures such Yoga, Meditation, Conscious-Living and Vedic Sciences such as Ayurveda, Vedic Physics & Vedic Mathematics.

It was always a scientific culture that understood the very mechanics and workings of this Universe. Their deities, their gods and goddesses were all a way of expressing and explaining these energies and their inter-working. Modern Quantum Mechanics is just starting to understand string theory, dark matter etc. which have all been fundamental to the Vedic understanding. Because of this, they developed ways and methods which allowed one to best tap into life-energy itself.

Vedic Culture, as it was practiced by the Himalayan Masters, was always a "way of life" and not a religion.

Their basic view was that, there is only ONE Supreme God-head (God as our creator) and each one of us can find our path to it- experience union with that divinity (Yoga) in their own way.

Because of this, anyone with any religious affiliations and beliefs can still benefit from their knowledgeable ways of Vedic Wisdom.

Our attempt here is to present this ancient wisdom in a modern light, so our readers can interpret the true, essential meaning more easily and then extrapolate it to their own specific scenarios and enhance the quality of their life and being-ness.
