When you see the images below, each is the result of specific photo light-settings. But if you are to view any one of them, you would not necessarily realize that there are other view-points aka "colors" to the image.
How many times has it happened that you re-play a past occurence in your head and wonder what you were "sad", "upset" or "angry" about! So, what happened? As time went on, your energy state changed about that occurrence. Simply giving time and keeping a little distance, creates a 'shift' in perspective and this change allowed you to view other the other emotions/feelings aka-colors.
This is not any different from when we step back to get a better view of a tall building or a large tree! Note- I am not indicating special spiritual energy changes (though that too can be the case).
Then what is the "truth"- the real picture. In this case, it was easy to photograph the image with full spectrum white light. :) But in life this answer is not so simple. Unless one is at a very high spiritual energy level, a person will not be able to see the "full spectrum" scenario. Everything they view will be an interpretation of their individual "Jiva" (ego) which is laced with their karmas and samskars (memory of karmic impressions) which includes cultural beliefs, life experiences and learnt/acquired knowledge.
Black is black and white is white; yes, there is something about simple facts- BUT, your version of a scenario is never simply a narration of such facts. It is your interpretation of what happened and that is what needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Allow yourself to be flexible to consider other interpretations and possibilities.
