We see this with angels. Angels are higher energy beings and there is supposed to be an angel who is specific to a requirement or blessings. Even within Christianity, we find this kind of concept of archetype being present. We have specific saints that we can pray to for a specific need- e.g. Saint Anthony is considered as the patron saint for lost things. I.e. one can pray to Saint Anthony if we have lost something and he can help us find it.
These archetypes, represent energies that can easily turn from positive to negative and are on the borderline in the plane of existence, so such archetypes though revered are also considered on the borderline of the suras and asuras. Then there are many other types of celestial beings as explained in several books- we have Gandharvas, who are the celestial musicians, Yakshas who are the nature beings and so on…
So, when you think of an archetype- think of the underlying energy they represent… is it positive or is it negative or is it something that can easily become positive or negative depending on who is using it and how!!
