Because of this, both Feng Shui and Vaastu Shastra provide many guidelines on the type of paintings and wall-art we should have/not in our home. In case you are not familiar, Vaastu Shastra is the ancient Vedic science of Architecture and Spatial energetics that ultimately serve to enhance the lives of those who inhabit in a particular space- such as a home, office, shop and so on. Feng Shui on the other hand is the Chinese spatial guidance to improve a person’s overall well-being.
Even though both these methodologies serve a similar purpose their guidance can vary and personally I have found that it is important to keep both their principles in mind and it is very helpful to adapt as many principles as possible from both these systems.
Now coming back to wall-art… as per Vaastu Shastra, it is extremely inauspicious to hang any kind of painting, photo-images, sculptures or any other home décor items depicting horses in the house!! Even though this guidance is about all decorative items, it is particularly applicable for wall-art, as our wall hangings have maximum impact on our subconscious mind.
So, something to keep in mind as you plan out your living space. Fill your surroundings with artifacts that help to improve and enhance your well-being and stay clear of decorating your home with horse-paintings or images!
